About SAFE Programming
SAFE (Sexual Assault Free Environment) Programming aims to help foster a culture at Rice where survivors of sexual and relationship violence and all students feel supported and empowered, and works toward a day when sexual and relationship violence no longer happen on our campus or in our world. We do this by:
- Educating the Rice community on topics such as healthy relationships, healthy sexuality, sexual and relationship violence, Rice policies and procedures, support available on and off campus, and sexual and relationship violence prevention and risk reduction.
- Empowering students and staff to work towards ending sexual and relationship violence by giving them the tools and skills they need to create cultural change.
- Engaging the community in ongoing conversations that create a supportive and healthy environment for all.
